Series Overview
The Decon Exchange is a Rescue Intellitech video series dedicated to helping firefighters fight cancer through education, awareness, prevention, and real-world best practices.
Hosted by Kristi Elrod, North America Marketing Director for Rescue Intellitech, the series brings together leading voices from across the fire service, firefighter advocacy organizations, research institutions, fire departments, and industry partners to discuss the occupational risks firefighters face and the steps being taken to reduce carcinogenic exposure and improve long-term health outcomes.
Each episode is produced in a conversational video podcast format and features a 25- to 30-minute interview designed to provide meaningful insights and practical takeaways. In addition to the full-length episode, key moments and highlights will be repurposed into shorter video clips for social media, helping extend the conversation and reach firefighters where they consume content most.
Through candid conversations, expert insights, and firsthand experiences, viewers will gain a deeper understanding of firefighter cancer risks, contamination control, decontamination best practices, department culture, emerging research, and the resources available to support firefighters and their families.
Whether you're a firefighter, battalion chief, health and safety officer, department leader, industry partner, or advocate, this series is designed to inform, inspire, and advance the ongoing effort to protect those who protect our communities.
Because helping firefighters fight cancer starts with education, awareness, and action.
